Terms & Conditions

Booking Confirmation

  • All bookings are confirmed once the £25 per day booking fee has been received.
  • The booking fee secures the selected dates and covers coordination, scheduling, and administration.
  • Booking fees are non-refundable but transferable if dates are changed (with notice).

Rates & Payment

  • Relief professionals are charged at agreed half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) rates.
  • Rates are confirmed in writing before the booking is finalised.
  • Invoices are issued by FBCR and must be paid before the first working day.
  • Additional hours beyond agreed shifts are charged at the pro-rata hourly rate. 15% higher than the quoted fee.

Cancellations & Changes

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the booking start date: → No additional charge (booking fee retained).
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours: → 50% of the agreed day rate may be charged.
  • Same-day cancellations or “no-show” on-site: → Full day rate applies.
  • Date changes are allowed subject to availability.

Professional Conduct, Standards & Safety

  • All FBCR relief professionals are vetted, qualified, and expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct, hygiene, and professionalism.
  • Clients are responsible for providing a safe working environment and ensuring that all on-site health and safety protocols are followed.
  • A risk assessment for the role, workspace, and equipment is required and is the responsibility of the client before the relief professional begins work.
  • Clients must provide necessary equipment, uniform (if required), and a proper induction on safety and site procedures.
  • FBCR cannot accept liability for any direct or indirect loss or injury occurring during the engagement, except in cases of proven negligence form FBCR.

Responsibilities

  • The client must clearly outline duties, shift times, and expectations before the professional begins work.
  • Any issues or concerns must be reported to FBCR within the same working day to allow for immediate resolution.
  • Clients are responsible for ensuring compliance with food safety, fire safety, and accident reporting procedures during relief cover.

Replacement & Support

  • If a professional becomes unavailable (e.g. illness), FBCR will make every effort to provide a replacement at the same rate and standard.
  • In rare cases where replacement is not possible, booking fees will be transferred or credited.

Liability & Insurance

  • FBCR maintains public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
  • Clients should ensure their own insurance covers temporary and relief personnel while on-site.

Confidentiality

  • Both FBCR and the client agree to treat all business information shared during the engagement as strictly confidential.

Agreement

  • By confirming a booking with FBCR, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
